簡介：
本片是一部將友情、愛情、忌妒、憐惜、死亡等橋段融於一體的電影，
要說起故事簡直是集通俗之大成。

芭芭拉荷西所飾演知書答禮的女孩跟貝蒂米勒飾演的小歌女，
兩個家世背景極度不同的女孩，小時候在亞特蘭大的一個沙灘偶然邂逅，
通信多年後兩人再度相逢，卻同時愛上一個男人，

知書答禮的女孩退讓嫁給跟她相配的律師，得到男人的小歌女也不見得幸福，
兩人都落得離婚的下場，結果退讓的知書答禮女得了癌症，
兩人化解前怨重修舊好，臨死前知書答禮女要小歌女
答應她的遺願--撫養她的女兒…

雖然一部好的電影不見得會有一首好的電影主題曲，
但是一首好的電影主題曲絕對可以拯救一部不怎麼樣的電影、甚至爛片，
"無盡的愛"（Endless Love）就是個好例子。
【情比姐妹深】就因為有了好聽的主題曲及插曲，全片從煽情變成感動。

電影的一開始，就是在排練演唱會的西西（貝蒂米勒飾），
接到希拉蕊（芭芭拉荷西 飾）病危的消息，
開車前往探望路途中回想過去的往事展開故事…

【情比姐妹深】請出貝蒂米勒及當年甫得坎城影后的芭芭拉荷西，分飾西西和希拉蕊，
兩人一諧一莊，為西西和希拉蕊這兩個角色增加了不少對比的說服力，
將同名原著小說的西西改成歌手角色，也讓貝蒂米勒在電影裡展盡了她的歌舞天份，
甚至可以說這部電影及原聲帶，若沒有貝蒂米勒絕對是走味的份。
